It’s not Natural, false argument.

This is not a religious point of view. It is purely logical and based on what can be perceived by the physical self.

Many humans will argue that we should live as animals live because we are animals as well, just a more evolved one.

They argue that ethics and morals are a human construct and that we should do as the animals do.

But what they forget to consider is that humans are part of nature and cannot escape evolution. Which means that our ethics and morals have raised from our evolution as a species.

We cannot think outside of reality thus what we can think is controlled by the laws of reality.

I know it sounds abstract but let me explain as best as I can.

“Turn the other cheek? What are you talking about? This is against nature! That’s absurd!”

The thing is that it cannot be against nature. If humans are able to have a thought then it is because it’s in their Nature.

The fact that you can also choose between which thoughts to act upon is also in your Nature.

You have ultimate free will. And for those that trully understand what free will trully means will be scared.

Why? Because with ultimate free will you know that you can choose anything you want and you then face the problem that if you can choose anything then what should you choose?

You see? You thought that free will would be your savior but in the end you understand that now you are again imprisoned by the inability to choose.

Basically you understand that you can change your perception of reality in whatever way you want to.

I believe that in order to solve that argument you need something more than just logic. I think that you need to reason with something that transcends the limits of our physical monkey brains.

Or maybe the realization of ultimate free will is the 1st step of many that you need to go through in order to trully understand.

Or maybe I’m wrong.
