Map Details & Sources

This viewer draws its tiles directly from ESRI’s public services: World Imagery (commercial and governmental satellite mosaic), World Ocean (NOAA bathymetry), and World Topographic (USGS / NGA base map). Because many governments and contractors routinely retouch or blur sensitive sites before publishing imagery, the built-in CSS filters here (infrared, edge-enhance, deep-water, thermal, etc.) do not modify the tiles themselves; they simply remap colors in your browser. This makes clone-stamped areas, low-opacity overlays, and abrupt contrast seams easier to see without altering the original data.
