Anti-gravity, Lear International, and a UFO so big they couldn’t move it

I was inspired by a recently posted interview with Eric Weinstein that mentioned an Australian document claiming the USA was deeply invested in anti-gravity research in the 1950s. So, I went down a rabbit hole.

Here is the declassified Australian report. It does indeed claim that there were several Anti-gravity research efforts in the 1950s. One that specifically caught my eye was at the aerospace company Lear, Inc. (see page 15 of the PDF below):

Some of you might have heard of John Lear, whose name gets brought up a lot in UFO stories. I dodn’t know much about him, so I checked and it turns out that John Lear is the son of William Lear, who was founder of that company in Santa Monica.

John Lear had an interesting career as a pilot for the CIA. In the 1980s, he started posting on a BBS called Paranet about the UFO conspiracy. His post is amazing, and contains many similarities to the core story we have been hearing from others. Did John Lear get interested in UFOs because he knew there was something to it from his dad?

Notice this paragraph:

In a letter to Senator John Glenn, NSA’s Director of Policy, Julia B. Wetzel, wrote, “Apparently there is or was an Air Force project by that name [Aquarius] which dealt with UFO’s. Coincidentally, there is also an NSA project by that name.” NSA’s Project Aquarius deals specifically with “communications with aliens.” Within the Aquarius program was Project Snowbird, a project to test fly a recovered alien aircraft at Groom Lake Nevada. This project continues today at that location. In the words of an individual who works at Groom Lake “our people are much better at taking things apart than they are at putting them back together.” Another saw a saucer being trucked into the Nevada Test Site in March of 1988. Still another informant witnessed a saucer being buried at that location during the second week of August, 1988.

Could that little tidbit be the origin of recent stories from Ross Coulthart that a UFO so big it could not be moved, was buried in place? There are many interesting buildings and underground tunnels at the Nevada Test Site, and it certainly isn’t a place civilians would normally be able to wander about. What better cover for a buried UFO than a big warning that radioactive materials are buried there.
