Are we dealing with a “Sophon”? Is this why our government is so secretive?

Like every other person on this sub, I have wondered why our government has fought so hard to prevent disclosure. I have considered, like a lot of you have, that there is a very good reason for the government to keep a tight lid on who or what is out there and what we know and how much we have advanced.

The most unsettling of theories, in my opinion, is that we are being spied upon(…and possibly being efffed with) by some non human intelligence.

One of the most fascinating illustrations of this idea comes from the Three Body Problem. (A popular sci-fi novel, part of a trilogy, from a Chinese author)
