I wanted to discuss this because after watching it for the first time, since childhood, a few things stood out. And in advance apologies as always if covered before.
Firstly Mr Clarke is so ambivalent at the beginning. Like UFOs are akin to seeing a parade or something. That struck me as odd because of how far back it was. It probably shouldn’t be too much of a surprise as he is a visionary in the area and well respected at that.
Secondly he goes through numerous cases and efforts to try to capture footage etc of the UAPs ( I should probably say from this point) and witness testimonial from people like Kenneth Arnold. This was no documentary dictated by the channel. It was Clarke in charge.
Other things that struck me is the mention of sightings places – Peru, Catalina Island (ironically debunked in this case) and others and how they resonate so much.
Mr Clarke also has this laid back tendency to accept hard fact. If it’s debunked then it’s debunked. No crying about it. But he does take the people who make claims seriously as he said he has seen many. Another thing is he said they are so numerous that not seeing one is a surprise to him. He said just look up.
Finally I want to end with him weather balloon which he debunked himself. So reminiscent of recent events but could easily be used as a ruse for other things. I just think it’s worth a watch by a knowledgeable man who is on the side of ufology but not religiously so. Maybe I’m talking an absolute lock of shite but I thought I’d offer it up. I just ask you be gentle, I don’t post much.
