Colbert’s Space Force interview at Thule Air Base

This is part of an interview Stephen Colbert did a little over a year ago while touring Thule Air Base in Greenland. It’s worth watching the whole episode if only because it’s fun, but I thought you guys might appreciate the snippet I’ve linked here: https://youtu.be/ZHBu-Xa7It4?t=221

When Colbert asks the Space Force leader there if we have a “space war” going on, there’s a hesitation in the reply that seems to catch Colbert by surprise. Instead of an immediate denial or even a chuckle, there’s a pause instead. It reminds me of a similar exchange he’d had with Obama after asking about UFOs. If anyone on our planet could detect UAPs, you’d think it’d be the personnel stationed at Thule (see the rest of the episode for more about the type of equipment they have there).
