I consider this to be one of the premier cases [start at 1:20 on the video] because the reported UFO apparently caused a significant change in elevation of the craft involved. Rarely have we seen such dramatic effects. interference with electronics is common. But back then. no one was flying by wire. They had mechanical systems. So the helicopter must have risen due to some kind of powerful physical influence.
This is one a few rare types of cases. The only other that comes to mind at the time is the Fredrich Valentich case. I thought it would be interesting to look for similarities between cases involving aircraft that were apparently physically affected, and sometimes dramatically affected by a UFO. I thought the Coyne case originally involved a green light. But they only mention red and white here. and the compass “went crazy”. Valentich reported a green light, right? And at the end of the tape you could hear what sounded like metal being severely distorted in some fashion.
Just thinking about this as a very narrow class of cases. Aircrafts that were physically altered by a UFO, either by a change in elevation,. direction, or location, or having any mechanical system affected,
