This group of politicians is likely the most “in the know” group of politicians ever on the subject of UAP: https://www.intelligence.senate.gov
But how many of them are really pushing for disclosure, how many of them are anti-disclosure, and how many of them might be wolves in sheep’s clothing?
Given that Rounds helped draft the NDAA UAP amendment with Schumer, I suspect he’s a good guy. Same with Heinrich.
But this is where I draw my own personal line between pro-disclosure and questionable support.
Rubio is on the record in more than one interview discussing the need to get more people on the record and understand these things… but the fact is, is even 10% of what he’s probably heard is true, he’s dragging his feet and acting like we still need more data. I guarantee he has more than enough data
Gillebrand is another odd bird. She’s so pro-AARO that it hurts. I understand feeling tied to pet projects, but her trustworthiness is rapidly sinking with that ship.
I’d characterize Rubio and Gillebrand as dangerous right now, I think they are more masterful politicians than any of the others and are playing “good” while quietly hindering disclosure efforts.
We can extrapolate what they’ve heard in SCIFs and closed-door-settings from firsthand witnesses… and we haven’t heard them say anything that would undermine the testimony. So it begs the question: where’s the (urgent) action??
I won’t even bother with the rest of the SSCI, they’re a mix of anti-disclosure (Bob Casey) and evasive. Especially disappointing are the Senators who have zero issues getting re-elected, even if they sound a little crazy – people like Ron Wyden in Oregon or basically any of the Republicans on the committee.
It’s shocking how little this very-knowledgeable group is doing to inform and represent their constituents.
I don’t expect them to go all “we are dealing with angels” or “there are inter-dimensional beings” like their HoR counterparts, but I expect the ball to keep moving forward, and frankly I think we’re watching them play defense instead of offense.
What are your opinions of these folks?
