When I was younger, I was an avid consumer of UFO information. As the years went on I think i became more “practical” –how could they even get here… Now with recent UAP information I’m back to — “interested”
And so I have a question. There was a post, I think yesterday, where someone saw a light moving that looked like a moving planet. My response was “airplanes can look like that”, their response was “no flashing lights”.
And so I thought about it. Repeatedly, like every now and then I have seen a large light, as bright as jupiter, but a warmer color, like mars colored, they move though the sky slowly. not a satellite, not ISS, I know what those look like… I have been calling those airplanes all my life, because when I saw the first one my dad said — that’s an airplane… Now I’m doubtful. I always imagined, I’m seeing a plane with landing lights on, but then shouldn’t it have to be moving towards me to see that, rather than away?
Also multiple times in my life I have seen what I would now call a large white orb streaming through the sky. Always at night. The first time I was alone, walking down a street in October, leaves already fallen on trees, and this orb, apparent moon size color and brightness, for comparison, flew in the sky above the trees. It made a hissing sound and being scientific, I called that “ball lightening”, Now I look at images of ball lightening and I see, no… all depictions of ball lightening have some form of regular lightening activity in the area at the same time. It was not a stormy night.
Another time, driving in the car, on an express way, I see another one, again, visually moon size (and color) flying at a pretty high altitude parallel with the road but in the distance. My wife saw it too, so much for it being imagination..
last summer I was up in the middle of the night to take astro photos… As soon as I walked outside I could see it was a bit overcast, but over south of me, in the sky was.. A light, large, but not so bright, it moved in a straight line and dissappeard, but it may have just gone into the clouds.. My initial reaction was… search light… but there’s a problem with that… search lights in my area are used to draw people to a venue, and it’s just not done any more, and it was like 4 am, and there was not corresponding beam leading up to the circular light. I just took it in stride, and went on to try to get some photos from a clear area of the sky…
On the one hand I’d like it to be just something normal, on the other hand, if these are UFOs, they are fairly common.
