How many are jaded and burnt out from jellyfish UFO videos and think NHIs are parading absurdity to invite ridicule and turn off well-meaning sympathizers from the phenomenon

Remember, per Eric Davis, the disclosure will be largely dictated by the NHIs. The terms of the disclosure will be set by the discretion and at the whim of the NHIs, who will double down and make sure that we get a taste of their favorite medicine, which is absurdity. This seems to be a case of the NHIs trolling to demonstrate that they can appear as anything they want. In that respect, the jellyfish UAP genre is very similar to the black cube inside a clear sphere witnessed by Navy pilot Ryan Graves in 2014. Or the Ezekiel wheel mentioned in the bible.

This is absurdity to the nth degree. The message to the observer is, “What did you just see? Can you trust your eyes? Do you really think you’re in charge of your faculties?”. It’s one big “circle jerk”, as John Keel came to believe.

Absurd encounters are a performance designed to have a particular effect on the observer. As one commentator usefully reminds us, these UFOs could fly without lights if did not want to be noticed. “It’s theater,” as Jim Semivan notes. And absurdity is its favorite tactic to confuse and marginalize observers so that the greater audience, who are not direct observers, will become convinced of the idiocy of those who witnessed it. This is a form of gaslighting, as Keel would agree, and the goal is to make the observer feel powerless and reluctant to come forward while the general public becomes jaded and lose interest. You have a feedback loop operating here so that the eyewitnesses could anticipate being ridiculed and declines to come forward.
