I have little understanding but, since the Pentagon has been accused of lying to the Public /Congress and is alleged to be at least aware of back engineering UFO, should they ever be involved in investigating the coverup, as they are being alleged to have an awareness? Who can investigate it then?

The recent conclusion by the Pentagon that there is no evidence to suggest credence for the back engineering program and recovery of off world technology, contradicts, apparently, statements made by a number of whistleblowers who allege the Pentagon and ARRO have been informed of and insinuations have direct awareness and insinuated involvement.

I’m quite naive to all this, but how can they then be involved in investigating the claims that they are part of the coverup, should it not be an independent body run by the congress themselves.

Who in that case can be put in charge of investigating it, what happens in this scenario?
