I think I saw a UFO last night. Is there anything else this could be?

So in the middle of the night I woke up and went outside to have a smoke and out of the corner of my eye I noticed a blink in the stars. So I focused on on that area and didn’t see anything but a faint star. Started looking around and noticed the blink again from the same area, right next to a faint star. Turns out it was so dim/far away, that I could only see it if I wasn’t trying to focus on it. I could look just a little away from where it was to see it again, but eventually I did get a good focus on it. I was outside for about 5 mins, and this thing was there from the start. thing is, it barely moved, for five minutes. It started just above and to the right of the faint star, like an inch to scale if that makes sense. Really close. and in five minutes it finally became even with the star. It had a steady double blink, about every 2 to 3 secs it would blink,blink. But was so dim it was hard to focus on. I know what satellites look like in the sky, I know what plains and helicopters look like, this was moving to slow and was too high to be any of those. What else could it be?
