I think Pasulka Needs to Testify in Congress

I started reading American Cosmic yesterday, and am so far having mixed feelings. Even though a lot of the information Pasulka has is second-hand, she does have a lot of first hand information that can help defeat the DOD’s over-classification of UFO information. In my opinion, this is a good thread to pull at.

For instance, Pasulka talks about being taken to a crash site in New Mexico with Nolan, and that they were able to find supposed UFO debris that Nolan took with him for analysis. Whatever I may think about whether this is legit (I’m on the fence), I think this is still good information to combat the DOD’s insistence that all of this information is classified. If this site and the materials found within it are classified, then why are they letting two civilian scholars search the area and then leave with the materials? I doubt Pasulka and Nolan were given a special clearance to visit the site. It just looks like friends of powerful people are able to visit without any issue as to classification.

I’m a litigation attorney, and it is my opinion that the best way to kickstart meaningful disclosure is through the courts. I think Congress needs to sue the DOD or the officials within it that are classifying this information. I understand national security and secret technology issues, but I don’t think that justifies a broad classification of everything UFO related. And that’s why looking into Pasulka’s story is a good idea. If what she says is true, then the DOD is literally picking and choosing when to assert the classification system. If the UFO crash site in New Mexico is classified, then how were two civilian academics able to visit it without clearance? And then one of them goes on to write a book about it.
