Is Avi Loeb legit?

I think the Galileo project is fine, maybe even a really good thing. But it seems like Avi cares way more about fame and being a martyr. He reminds me of Donald Trump or Jordan Peterson. He’s very attention seeking, maybe even more than he cares about the truth. Every week is a new podcast, a new book, a new controversy like in high school about how mean the scientific community is for repressing the evidence. But in the end of the day anyone can claim that money being spent on the wrong things represses some great discovery, but that doesn’t mean that we’re guaranteed a discovery just because there is investment. I think he’s too focused on this politics and the drama and it doesn’t seem like he’s as committed to realistically finding evidence for alien life, which, let’s face it, is far more likely to be in some places rather than others. I acknowledge the Galileo project is a great stride in connecting UFO sighting to scientific research, which in itself is very remarkable, but Avi’s clownish behavior makes it difficult to give credit where credit is due. But I’m a little sick of these types like Eric Weinstein who spend so much time angry at the scientific community when that energy could be spent actually doing research and the science required to get there. Maybe spend less time on a podcast and more time in the labs or watching the skies. I have some hope for the Galileo project to the extent that it’s legit, but I also wish they’d invest more in to UFO sighting specifically, I think some of their other efforts are great for the long-term, but to find alien life they seem pretty unlikely in the short-term.
