Is the media manufacturing ‘Crisis’?

I didn’t know where to put this, but it’s in some of the same realm as disinformation and social engineering. Which is all too relevant to UFOs. So I figured id ask.

Maybe I’m being a Karen, but does a small shift in pedestrian mortality really qualify as a ‘crisis’?

Is this the kind of thing we are talking about when we say the media is being manipulative? Throwing the word around so when there is a real one, it just blends in with the rest of the ‘crisis’?

Maybe the word attracts more viewers and that’s all it is. It seems to me that you can control the “average” narrative by structuring stories like this.
