Hello everyone! This is the first post I have ever made to this community. I’ve lurked this subreddit for years now through different accounts and have been extremely interested in the subject of UFO/UAP. I have finally gained the courage to post what I and others have experienced. I want to share with you a sighting that I had with three other family/friends of mine on Indian Rocks Beach in Pinellas County, Florida. This is sort of a long story so I apologize but I will try and keep it as short as possible. I don’t have any photos or video as it was extremely foggy and there was no way my iPhone would’ve picked up what we were seeing but I will share a google image and an AI generated image that was as close as I could get to what all of us witnessed that night.
On Tuesday February 9th, 2021 a group of friends/family of mine decided to go to Indian Rocks Beach in Pinellas County (where we live) after dinner to just hangout and experience the fog that was rolling in that night. It’s the middle of winter and the beaches were pretty dead, especially at 10:00 PM which is when we arrived. The group of family/friends that were with me included my girlfriend, my brother, my brothers friend, and myself. None of us were under the influence of alcohol or any type of drug during this encounter.
When we arrived to the beach, all of us decided to start walking for a bit and we did so until about 11:00ish PM, we then walked back to where we originally parked and sat down on the boardwalk to just relax. To note, there’s an extremely dense fog rolling in so it was very hard to see anything. I remember joking around with them on our walk and running in front of our group to see how far away I could get until they couldn’t see me anymore and it was about 10ft. We couldn’t even see the ocean itself, we could just hear the waves crashing.
As we are sitting there on the boardwalk facing the ocean, my brother points out something that was white and glowing over the ocean in front of us and goes “what the hell is that?” These objects/beings were pretty far away from us, I would say that they were probably a little less than a mile away from the shoreline. It was hard to judge their distance due to how they looked and how dense the fog was. During this time, all of us were extremely interested in the subject of UFO/UAP but didn’t think of this being anything significant. As my brother is pointing out to whatever this was, I began running to the shoreline in excitement. Everyone followed me and what we all saw that night changed our lives forever.
What all four of us witnessed was not your traditional UFO/UAP. All of us could clearly see a humanoid shaped figure with a head, shoulders, arms, legs etc. that had a glowing white luminescence around it which was weird because it was extremely dense fog. I’m surprised that we were able to see it as clear as we did. At first, there was only one of these sitting over the water and our gut feeling was telling us that they knew that we were sitting there watching them.
This is where it gets weird. I remember vividly seeing this object/being start running across the water and acting in a playful manner. You could physically see its two legs in a “running” motion over the water however when it faced towards us, you couldn’t see two separate legs, they just looked like they were mended together until it would start running. It was extremely fast, it would “run” and it looked like it was gliding across the water in an uncanny way. It would then magically appear in the spot where we first spotted it. When it went back to the spot it appeared from, there was THREE of them and they all started performing these crazy maneuvers, it looked like they were playing leapfrog. They would all start running across the ocean and then jumping up doing these beautiful “dances”/formations in a very fast manner. This encounter lasted about 45 minutes. Over and over again repeatedly, they would run across the water in multiple directions and then they would teleport back in formation and start doing these insane “dances”/maneuvers right above water/in the sky. It’s difficult to explain how they were doing what they were doing so I apologize if it’s hard to understand. The closest thing I would say that there were doing, was playing leapfrog or something.
It gets even weirder. Mind you, we’re all freaking out witnessing this. About 30 minutes in, we’re watching all three of them continuously doing these “dances”/maneuvers and one of the objects/beings out of the three starts moving closer and closer towards us in a VERY intense way while the other two stayed back. This is where I became genuinely scared and I could feel my heart sink into my stomach. I remember yelling “guys! look! one of them is getting closer”in a scared tone. We slowly start backing up because it’s getting very intense. Then BAM, this thing rushes up pretty close to where we were standing and unintentionally scares the hell out of us. I felt like I couldn’t breathe for a second. It moved SO quickly that it made all of us flinch when it rushed up, it’s difficult to explain. It shook us up pretty bad. I’m not sure if the object/being knew we were scared? At least that’s what our theory was on why it didn’t physically interact with us. Because as soon as it came up and scared us, it immediately “teleported” back to where it originally was with the other two objects/beings. After that, they just continued to do these amazing “dances”/maneuvers for about 10-15 more minutes. Eventually, they just started to slowly fade out and disappear, never to be seen again. I apologize if this is difficult to read however this is the best explanation I could give as to exactly what we all witnessed that night. Also to note, When I say “objects/beings”, it’s the best description of what we they looked like. They legitimately looked like “light-beings” and had a very clear bi-pedal, humanoid shape.
I have had many encounters with UFO/UAP since that time and most of them I have witnessed with my girlfriend, my brother and my little sister. From craft, to glowing orbs or spherical objects, to translucent objects etc etc. we have witnessed many many different objects performing incredible things. The next day, my brother and I brought our little sister as well to try and spot these light-beings again because we were so perplexed by what we saw and ended up witnessing an orange glowing orb sitting I’d say about 300ft above us, we watched it for maybe 30 seconds and then it shot up instantaneously towards the upper atmosphere.
Out of everything I have ever seen, this encounter on the beach was most significant for all of us. I will never forget it. It was truly incredible. When the light-being rushed up to us, it shook us to our core. It was most significant part of the entire encounter. Every time I see fog now, it honestly freaks me out a little lol.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my story regarding our experience. Again, I apologize that this was so long. I wanted to provide as much detail from what we all remember. I have also reported my sighting to MUFON.
