I have been a long term lurker of this subreddit throughout the years and I feel compelled to tell my short (but significant to me) story.
Back in 2007, I was on my way to work at around 6:30 to 7AM for my factory job. I was on the 60 freeway headed west towards Ontario, California from my home in Riverside, California.
At approximately these GPS coordinates “34.00732115157555, -117.41906260356748” (I am attaching a picture with this post of the approximate area from street view) – I saw what I can only describe as a tan lamp shade looking thing off in the distance – hovering perfectly still above the freeway. The size of it was roughly 10-15 feet tall. It looked like a reflection and I could not make sense of what exactly I was perceiving through the windshield. There were no light poles (as you can see in the image provided), also this was in broad daylight. And I was totally stone cold sober (in case you were wondering).
As I got closer it was very clearly an object hovering maybe 200 feet above the freeway in the middle lane (in which I was traveling). It was stationary and I eventually passed underneath it and I noticed an orange/amber color on the underside. I could not determine any other features of the object. I was watching it for approximately 10 seconds in total. After I passed underneath and away from it I took every chance I could to look in my rear view and side view to try and spot it, but I couldn’t see it anymore. For the next 20-30 minutes of my drive I was trying to make sense of what it was. I just chalked it up to “yep, it was a UFO.” It was the only thing that actually made sense.
While that was a pretty fun tale in itself, what happened to me afterwards is maybe more interesting. In the days, weeks, and years after seeing the object I often have brief moments of precognition. It sounds crazy, but it is my experience and I am more than willing to take any test out there to see what the hell is going on with me.
I initially noticed this strange experience while at work. At the time I worked in a sanitation department, cleaning food preparation equipment. The job was very physically taxing, but it was very predictable – cleaning the same machines week in and week out. Also, it was deafening on the production floor without ear protection. It got to a point where my mind was kind of on auto pilot and in a flow state, you could say. During these “zone out” periods my mind would go on a stream of consciousness – thoughts leading into new thoughts and into new thoughts. No real rhyme or reason. There would very often be something that would randomly pop into my head, like a name or a feeling of deja vu.
The first time I noticed something was different with me was when whatever reason I had been thinking about Family Feud while I was doing my cleaning. This was in the days after seeing the object over the freeway. On my lunch break I walked out into the break room and on the TV at the front of the room was Family Feud. It was kind of stunning because I was just thinking about it minutes before (in a completely different part of the factory).
The level of precognition I get is nearly useless. I cant make it happen – I cant do anything cool like manifest winning lottery numbers. Its more of a passing thought that sticks with me and at some point in the day, whatever I was thinking about will show itself somehow. From what I have been able to notice, its tied to flow states and when my mind just wanders.
Secondary to this, I get very strange dreams where I see symbols. I have always suffered from sleep paralysis throughout my life. My parents tell me stories about how I would “seizure” as a newborn, when in reality it was likely sleep paralysis. Its triggered when I eat bad food, am stressed, or find myself sleeping on my back (likely an apnea sort of thing?). Anyhow, sometimes when I am in between sleep and waking I have a recurring dream of looking up into the sky and seeing white symbols that overlap themselves in a succession on top of what looks like roiling water. The symbols themselves look like shitty tribal tattoos (not sure how else to describe them). I can also sometimes see the symbols when I am trying to get back to sleep (after waking up in the middle of the night), by focusing my closed eyes on the blackness. In the blackness eventually symbols appear, sometimes images of whatever I happen to be thinking about.
Well thats it, pretty much. The TLDR is that I saw a UFO and now I have weird dreams and can kinda of predict some stuff that isnt useful at all. Thanks for reading!
