An object that is unresolved and looks dot, is not an orb. Literally any obect that is unresolved, regardless of its shape, will look like a round blob. Being an orb does not make something anomalous. Many balloons are “orbs”. Not anamalous.

I feel like understanding these two points would save a lot of time and increase the overall quality of posts in this subreddit.

It seems like the fact that a lot of reports by military pilots revolve around orbs, people think that anything in the sky that looks like an orb (or even a dot, like a star for example) is something worth sharing.

It’s not. Lights in the sky, and orbs floating around are mundane. Please stop wasting people’s time with this.
