Popping sounds followed by UFO?

So on two occasions, the first occasion I saw what looked to be a cloaked ufo relatively low in the sky on my way to work at around 630am in the morning about 2 years ago. I couldn’t really make up its shape but it had a pulsating field or aurora like light around it that went from red to green it looked as if it came out of a reddish portal and went across the sky relatively fast until I lost it past a tree line. I felt almost speechless as I looked to the driver on my left and he also looked at me pointing to the sky confirming what we both saw. About 3 months ago I went to take out the trash at my house, I normally look at the night sky whenever I am outside and I could hear these popping sounds in the sky. I assumed that maybe there were fireworks it was 2 weeks b4 4th of July. But then what I saw shocked, I saw that same cloaked aurora like ufo red to green appear quickly followed by a loud pop above my head and it flew for like 2 secs at a fast rate of speed the disappeared followed by another loud pop noise. This was right above my house maybe 300-400 ft on clear night. I walked in my house with my heart beating and hands trembling, I didn’t even tell my wife what I had witnessed. Has anyone else seen or heard of ufos with that description that make loud popping noises when the appear and reappear?
