I was out in my neighbor’s back yard and we saw what looked like an ascending rocket. My neighbor is an engineer in the aerospace industry and was quite sure about it. But then, moments after the rocket went out of sight a small bright starlike object (reddish) tore across the sky in the exact same direction at high altitude (It went behind some jet contrails). It moved faster than any plane I’ve seen and it did a very distinct but slight course change. We were both unable to find an explanation!
