I am sensing a change in the general tone of discussions in these parts off late and I am all for it. It appears that more and more people are getting exasperated with the status quo in the UFO community. We have a bunch of public-facing gatekeepers who clearly know more than they are revealing and they seem to revel in keeping their cards close to their chest. They tend to release information in dribs and drabs and this is the only acceptable way. There is a general expectation that us UFO believers must be grateful that we are getting any information at all and we get constant reminders of how far we have actually come compared to 2017 when we press for evidence. I think more and more people are starting to realize that this is a very toxic relationship. I suggest this course of action moving forward –
1) STOP bringing this topic up with non-believers. I am referring to your friends, family and colleagues at work. Even after all these years, there is very little in the way of real evidence in this field. Even though we feel that this is the most interesting topic right now, the truth is that most people do not see it this way. DO NOT try to recruit others. Let them be. They have not lost anything by not paying close attention to this topic over the past few years at all. Times are getting tougher and tougher in the real world and we cannot afford to recruit ordinary people into this little cult-like setup that we have going on for ourselves. Let people lead their lives and do not try to force your views on this topic with people at work, over Thanksgiving dinner etc. It is not worth wasting other people’s time. If anything major happens in the real world, they can be brought up to speed anyway. Let other people be. It is not worth ruining your own credibility by broaching this topic with non-believers.
2) The gatekeepers have managed to get us UFO believers into doing their bidding over the past few years. There is constant pleading to keep writing to Congressmen to take the UAP topic seriously. What for? Congressmen have had numerous closed-door and public hearings on this topic. David Grusch testified in public before Congress. Servicemen have reported close encounters with these objects and Congressmen have confirmed that they have seen the videos and photos. So, what the hell are we writing to them for? Don’t they have enough information already to take action? What is up with this incessant pleading and begging to write to Congressmen? You have enough information already. Take action!
3) I think it is time for the gatekeepers to do the jobs themselves. YOU figure out a way to get your scrap metal piece and spheres tested to determine if it is on non-human origin or not. Do not talk about it unless you release the scientific results. YOU find a way to get the attention of your rep in Congress and to get them to take the UAP topic seriously. YOU find a way to get better pictures and videos released. YOU find a way to release the location of this ‘gigantic UAP that was so big that it could not be moved’ without jeopardizing ‘national security’. Do not lift a finger in assisting these people unless they do the work themselves. There are more and more articles coming out in mainstream media that are antagonistic to the UFO topic. I think that is a good thing. Let the gatekeepers figure out how to change the minds of those who are skeptics by providing real evidence.
4) Cold, hard facts: Most of us have not seen a UFO in our lives and there is a very good chance that we will not in the future. It is not something that happens regularly to ordinary people in their lives. So, if you look at it objectively, it is not a topic that touches the lives of most people unlike things like inflation, debt, job loss, recessions, wars etc. So, in effect, you could drop your interest in this topic right now and move on with your life and nothing much would change. In fact, you would gain back a lot of time that you mindlessly spend reading up on this topic. So, if this is a topic that does touch the life of a lot of people, it is up to the gatekeepers to reveal the exact nature of this information that warrants us to continue to pay close attention to this topic. There is no compelling need for us UFO believers to be invested heavily in a topic which actually has very little to no impact on our daily lives.
TL;DR: Put up or shut up!
