Question for Democrats here: Why are you not outraged at the possibility of clean energy tech being hidden from humanity?

I have some democrat friends who are concerned about the environment and fossil fuels, but are not in my opinion adequately engaging with this topic and it’s implications. When I ask them they tell me it’s because it’s all just one person making claims, they are waiting for proof.

Is this the consensus, do other democrats agree?

Because this seems like an self defeating bar to set for this because it’s not helping with disclosure. Why isn’t a credible whisleblower and the Chuck Schumer bill that followed enough to motivate democrats to actively start advocating for disclosure of whatever this is? Even if there’s a remote tiny possibility that there is clean energy tech waiting for science to tap into shouldn’t that be motivating politically?

There will never be the evidence you require unless you help with the disclosure efforts right now, where it has the most momentum. It’s clear that some powerful elements are still trying to shove this genie back in the bottle.

And mods please don’t remove this it’s not a low effort post and I’m not baiting anyone. I’m genuinely curious. And I won’t tolerate any partisan nonsense in the comments.
