Recent influx of negative posts and comments

Recently I’ve noticed there’s been a lot of negative sentiment on this sub and a push for people to give up and stop, whether it’s through posts or comments.

For the ones paying attention, I’m sure you’ve noticed that since the SCIF on January 12th, which has validated some of David Grusch’s claims, there has been a flood of negativity and disinformation, publicly as well as on this sub. Let’s address the public events first:

•Just two days after the SCIF, Richard Doty a known disinformation agent released an alleged “leak” which was the opposite of what people who actually attended the SCIF were claiming. He seems to have fallen off the radar after that too.

•Sean Kirkpatrick’s disingenuous statements. This is a big one as it’s important to realize he intentionally made these statements after his tenure at the AARO had ended and his statements have been clarified that they have no affiliation to either the AARO or DOD. He’s speaking as a private citizen and has provided no proof for his statements. He has not said any of these under oath and if/until he does it’s hearsay. He has also claimed that the “cube in sphere” UAP is Chinese drone technology which he has done once again with no evidence or authority. These statements were also picked up and posted on numerous MSM outlets as pointed out in the recent post by diabetic_maine_coon.

•Ross Coulthart’s Wikipedia page edits, Ross Coulthart had his positive attributions and awards were removed and were replaced with skeptical comments and criticisms.

There were smaller events too but these were some of the major public events. The examples I’ve seen on this sub are:

•”Am I as deluded and idiotic as a flat earter?” type of posts, if that were the case then flat earth would have a history of 80 years accompanied by the government constantly studying it in secret and stonewalling publicly at every point.

•”Who needs disclosure?” Post which was accompanied with a nice graphic of all the possible theories, but that’s the problem, they’re hypothetical this absolutely needs to be studied further.

•The post asking to stop writing to representatives. They’re the ones that can keep putting pressure and it helps form a public opinion for the ones who don’t follow UFO news.

•The recent post about “trusting ex intelligence operatives” why take issue with Grusch, Mellon etc but not hold Kirkpatrick to that same standard? Who’s been making huge claims without any evidence provided and has been speaking as a private citizen.

•Posts about announcing their departure from the sub and encouraging others to do the same

A lot of these posts are detracting from the progress that’s been made and have a cynical take on said progress. These posts are not inherently wrong, but they don’t fully acknowledge how far this matter has come from before.

It’s important keep the objective in sight and not let the pessimism drone out the significance of what’s occuring. For the naysayers that have been touting Kirkpatrick’s words as a “gotcha” should also realize we should hold him to the same standard as Grusch. Why was the UAPDA gutted if there’s nothing to hide?

I know we all want proof, that’s why we joined this sub in the first place but it’s important to have patience and observe how this unfolds, since the evidence has been provided to those who have a clearance to view it, that doesn’t include the general public. It is also important to keep writing to your representatives, the important thing is to keep applying pressure. Especially with Grusch’s op-ed and the first field hearing on the horizon.

TL;DR: There’s been a lot of negativity, but don’t let it undermine the progress that’s been made.
