Saw something in the sky. Only got a picture.

Saw this in the sky, it was moving very slow, speed didn’t change at all, started out as an orange ball, and then changed into what the picture showed, then a weird ring blasted out from the front of it and the blast was going faster than the object. Anyone know what this could be? We live near an airport btw. Just never seen a plane do that.
