Last night at about 11:30 PM PST I was reading a book in bed and was startled by three extremely loud bangs, of the like which I had never heard before. It actually sounded like several bombs went off. I immediately jump out of bed in my boxers, run to my back porch, and look in the sky to see an bject flying an unusually low altitude, this object has several bright lights and is making this extremely unfamiliar humming noise, also unlike anything I’ve ever heard before. I’m standing still on my back porch trying to understand what I’m looking at, 20-30 seconds pass by and it dawns on me that I should probably be recording this. So I then run back inside to grab my phone and begin recording… this is what I managed to capture.
I live directly in the flight path of SFO & OAK so I am very familar with planes overhead, their direction, lights, and noises. This was unlike anything I had ever witnessed and I am posting this in hopes you guys can provide some insight or explanation as to what I saw last night.
