Here’s an email I wrote to DOPSR, not sure if this is a good approach to or the correct contact to reach out to, but thought making our voices heard is worth a shot. To [whs.pentagon.esd.mbx.secrev@mail.mil](mailto:whs.pentagon.esd.mbx.secrev@mail.mil) subject: Public Concern Regarding Delay in Review Process of David Grusch’s Op-Ed
Dear Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review Team,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is [First Last], and I’m writing to you as a concerned citizen deeply interested in the matters of transparency and accountability within our governmental process.
I understand that the review of documents and materials, especially those pertaining to national security and defense, requires thorough scrutiny and adherence to established protocols. However, I am writing to express my concern over the apparent delay in the review process of an op-ed submitted by Mr. David Grusch, a whistleblower with claims of significant public interest regarding the recovery and reverse engineering of non-human origin craft, as well as the recovery of bodies from these crafts.
It has come to my attention that Mr. Grusch submitted his op-ed for DOPSR review approximately two months ago, despite the usual turnaround time being around one month. Given the compelling nature of the subject matter and its potential implications for public knowledge and understanding, I believe that expediting the review process for his submission is in the public’s best interest.
As a tax-paying citizen, I am keenly aware of the importance of national security, but I also value the principles of openness and the public’s right to be informed about matters of significant interest and potential impact. I kindly request that the DOPSR consider the heightened public interest in Mr. Grusch’s claims and work towards a timely review and response to his submission.
I appreciate the challenging work that your office undertakes to balance security concerns with the public’s right to know, and I thank you for your attention to this matter. Please consider this letter an expression of public interest and concern, hoping that it may contribute to a more expedited review process for Mr. Grusch’s op-ed.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
[First Last]
