Shouldn’t the SSCI be aware of an investigation into grusch’s UAP conspiracy claims by the ICIG?

The SSCI (senate intel committee) should be made aware of any investigations by the ICIG (sounds like classified material too) https://www.oversight.gov/report/ICIG/Office-Inspector-General-Intelligence-Community-Releases-Its-Semiannual-Report-Oct-2022#:~:text=The%20Office%20of%20the%20Inspector,)%20to%20Congress%20%7C%20Oversight.gov%20to%20Congress%20%7C%20Oversight.gov)

The SSCI would have gotten a report (as you can see on the website link above) covering the october 2022 to march 2023 reporting period. They should be aware of if the ICIG has some serious investigation going on into a UAP conspiracy, should they not? Or if there ever was one? The unclassified report (which people have covered very well on this sub in other posts) is listed on that site, but it sounds like they also get classified briefings as well. Grusch’s claims and the firsthand whistleblowers’ claims being investigated should have been disclosed to congress (intel committees) if there was a broader UAP program investigation then, no?

People are holding out hope that the ICIG used some clever wordplay which shows there is an investigation even though he didn’t say there was.

From this website for an FAQ on the ICIG: https://www.dni.gov/index.php/who-we-are/organizations/icig/icig-about-us/icig-faqs

“The IC IG has notification and reporting obligations to the intelligence oversight committees, and must report particularly serious or flagrant problems, abuses, or deficiencies relating to IC programs to both the DNI and to Congress immediately. In addition, the IC IG reports to Congress on a semiannual basis on the activities of the IC IG.”

So even outside of just having to give the SSCI a semiannual report, “serious or flagrant problems, abuses, or deficiencies relating to IC programs to both the DNI and to Congress immediately

So again, if grusch’s/firsthand witnesses’ claims were being investigated, you’d figure the ICIG would have disclosed this to the SSCI either in the report or immediately. Keep in mind, the ICIG has had since may of 2022 to look into grusch’s claims regarding the UAP conspiracy.

Instead it just sounds like the ICIG only handed off grusch to the SSCI as an urgent concern. The ICIG did report a reprisal investigation during the sept. 2022-march 2023 period from the NGA, which is likely grusch. But does “reprisal investigation” sound like a broader investigation into a massive UAP conspiracy? Not really. Just sounds like investigating grusch’s claims of retaliation.

Regardless, you’d again think the SSCI would have more details on that reprisal investigation given their access to classified info and the ICIG’s reporting responsibilities to congress, so would again know if the investigation covered looking into the broader UAP conspiracy claims.

All that being said, from all the interviews that members of the SSCI (rubio, gillibrand, warner, schumer), it does not sound like they are aware of one, unless they are purposely acting unconcerned and/or flippant about grusch in interviews. Gillibrand/Schumer sounded very unserious about this topic in some interviews. Rubio said he couldn’t get any answers but was looking into it, almost sounded annoyed in his 2nd askapol interview. Warner seemed to want to dump it on AARO, same with gillibrand at times. You would think the SSCI members could of course just clear this up for Burchett and the HOC if they knew of an investigation.

So based on all that, I would guess the ICIG is not in fact investigating any of this beyond just grusch’s reprisal complaint.

However, maybe someone like Matt Laslo of askapol could ask members of the SSCI if they are aware of an ICIG investigation into the broader uap conspiracy claims alleged by grusch and other firsthand witnesses, because again it sounds like they’d know about this.

Appreciate any thoughts on all this.
