Someone is Lying and I Am Going to Lose it if We Don’t Find Out Who

I think aliens are both real and have visited earth. I want to start with that. I think when humans develop interstellar travel, visiting other lifeforms around the galaxy is exactly what we are going to do. I don’t think we will have to “break the laws of physics” to do it. I think intelligence and curiosity are products of evolution and to assume humans are the only animal in the universe capable of manipulating and understanding our surroundings is hubris at its finest. We are a young species and there’s no reason to think we are in the top percentile of intelligence in the universe. In all likelihood, there are civilizations far more advanced than ours not too far away.

That said, I have spent months pouring over the history of ufology (much to the dismay of many of the people in my life). To this day, I do not know who is lying and who is telling the truth. Grusch, Elizondo, Graves, Fravor, and so many others insist this is real. They are adamant that the US govt. has hidden the most profound knowledge in the universe from the general population for 80+ years. UFOs are real and have been the whole time. The subject has been shielded behind stigma and bigoted special access programs which have produced little to no advancements despite decades of research. We are like cavemen trying to figure out how a flash drive works.

Kirkpatrick, the pentagon, NASA, and so many more all say no. They say sure, UFOs are real, but only in the sense that there are unidentified prosaic objects in the atmosphere that people see from too far away or too briefly to ID. In all reality, UFOs are simply the product of the human brain extrapolating limited data into fantastical stories. They argue that the galaxy is huge, and for aliens to even find us would be miraculous. They also point out that the universe is unpredictable and violent. Just because life happened here doesn’t mean it happened elsewhere, and even if it did there’s no known way to traverse the galaxy safely. They say that humans believing aliens would be interested in us is a far greater example of hubris than believing we are alone.

Recently, a relatively comprehensive theory has emerged from the skeptics camp. The theory goes something like this: a small but powerful group of true UFO believers lead by the now deceased senate majority leader Harry Reid and his top donor Robert Bigelow wasted taxpayer money chasing ghosts and those who were involved are covering their asses by asserting a conspiracy is afoot. Reid used his power as senate majority leader to funnel taxpayer money to a company owned by Bigelow who spent several years studying paranormal activity at Skinwalker ranch. The researchers fed Bigelow false information in an attempt to keep the funding coming, but the pentagon eventually found out and dismantled the program. A small group of mostly bored pentagon workers lead by Lou Elizondo continued the effort in their free time adopting the name AATIP. Grusch’s job was informing high ranking officials like Reid of intel. It’s through this connection that Grusch became roped in. Reid convinced Grusch that the phenomena was real and pointed him to 40+ people who affirmed this belief.

Basically, it’s a conspiracy either way. Either the government is a corrupt organization hiding paradigm shifting information from the masses, or the government is infiltrated with whacko conspiracists all too happy to waste money chasing ghosts around rural Utah.

In any case, we deserve the truth.
