This topic is going to my number one mention with my family over the holidays. I’m blessed with respectful family discourse so I’m not going into it expecting any kind of trouble; but I do expect any notion I put forward to be intellectually challenged and talked through; thankfully.
I wanted to share my approach because I’m sure alot of you have a similar circumstance occurring and perhaps it’s even on your mind whether you should bring it up or not. The TLDR is literally do it for whatever reason you want because this topic has a bigger destiny than you. If you can do nothing but make other people think about it atleast once, that can be worth it and be worth it’s weight in gold.
This is going to be a mixture of direct advice from conversations I have experienced, and more general reasoning, If you don’t care to see opinions from a pro disclosure side of things, prepare for this post to be irrelevant to you.
Starting off; now a days I talk about the NDAA first. Especially, Schumer and his involvement with a focus on his most recent comment surrounding the efforts to take provisions out of his amendment.
I’ll talk about how the amendment was passed in the senate and then faced renegotiating in the house.
I’ll talk about the speakership drama in the house and how many of the members involved in that drama are also central to the now passed drama of the NDAA.
I’ll talk about the Sol foundation and use that as a gentle segway into the hearings and other information.
Now when talking about these things I take a neutral, objective standpoint as often as possible, and relay easily verifiable facts that I know to be true. I can’t realistically quote a whistle-blower or a senator perfectly every time, but stating that they made a statement related to the subject will always be true.
I do this to avoid having to defend incorrect information in later conversation and its very helpful for helping people think for themselves rather than subscribing to a peculiar narrative.
Remember.
The goal is to convince them that there’s enough money, power and political will associated with this subject at this time that objectively; no matter what you think about anything; it deserves your time and energy to look into it and understand what’s going on.
It isn’t your job to convince anyone of anything but this.
Because anyone at this point after Biden made a statement about it at the signing of the NDAA wants to say it’s a subject that bears no attention then they are not aligned with the facts in that assessment. Money is being spent. That’s the all encompassing thing right?
I will often cite the secretive, bloated and audit failing infrastructure of the US Government to insinuate that all that money better have gotten spent on something cool at the very least. We deserve some baseline facts. Highly credentialed people(also people with alot of money) are manuvering to make something happen in relation to this subject and true movement on it could mean the upset of every trajectory we think we know about ourselves.
I posit this subject as objectively important to engage in and use in your calculations when seeing the world around you. I don’t engage in trying to make people believe anything other than their civic duties require them to be informed. Especially with the potential for it to become a poignant political issue in the election cycle. It could be especially effectual to local governments who currently enjoy very low participation amoung voters and this subject has a fantastic nationwide ability to influence elections at scale.
It’s past time to take all this seriously is the main way you could sum up my approach. Health happiness and abundance to you and your family this season. I hope it goes well.
