“God dammit Carl….”

If these things can time travel, like some people suggest, what if it’s all the same ET that keeps fucking up and crashing?

I mean every unit/team/squad always has that one guy. What if it’s just the same group of ETs on a mission from Zeta Reticuli or whatever, and the reason we see so many of them is it’s just the same “guys” bouncing back and forth in time? Like they might go back to 65000 BC for a few minutes, take some notes, bounce to 3000 AD grab a bite, go to the end of the world when the sun goes supernova, watch some humans run around screaming, then back to our present, etc. And maybe they’re competent enough to fly their ship but they don’t give a shit? Like it’s their equivalent of a dull government job or something. And when they crash a rescue party comes and gets them and they go back to (not) being seen.
