The new updated edition of Ross Coulthart’s ‘In Plain Sight’ is free if you already bought the original on Kindle

I tried to buy the new version on Kindle, and Amazon didn’t want my money. Said I already owned the book. A glance at my library confirmed that the book in it was indeed the new version, already silently updated by Amazon.

First of all, thanks Ross for upgrading us for free!

But, although that is certainly very convenient, I do feel a little creeped out that Amazon can change my books at will. I mean, I obviously knew it could be done, in theory, but it’s another thing to see it happen. It looks like it can be turned off, for now.
