The “Protocols” and Psychedelics / Entheogens

Hi everyone,

I’ve become increasingly interested in what Diana Pasulka refers to as the “Protocols” that people like “Tyler” and I suspect Jacques Vallee, Robert Hynek, and other people close to this phenomena seem to take up after “going down the rabbit hole” as we say.

I am curious about the overlaps with other monastic religious traditions that involve self-purifying techniques, like the Buddhist precepts, that the “Protocols” have and I was wondering if anyone was aware of how these “Protocols” relate to psychedelic / entheogenic substance use.

I can’t help but notice the overlap between psychedelic communities and UFO/UAP communities, and I wonder if these people were not influenced by these substances, or don’t use these substances to connect to these entities / their own consciousness in a spiritual rather than recreational way.

I could see them being extremely interested and partaking in substances like DMT or Mushrooms, but I could also see them taking the same approach that Buddhist monastics seem to take toward these substances, i.e. that they only add further layers of delusion that separate us from ourselves, each other, and whatever else may be out there.

Does anyone know if psychedelics have any role in the “Protocols,” or do these peoples practices involve them being in state of complete sobriety, i.e. no entheogens?

I ask not because I think the acid heads have come across the secrets of the universe, but rather that entheogenic substance use / plant teachers have long been practiced by different indigenous groups as a means to engage with the sacred and learn about our world.

What do y’all think?

Thanks for reading 🙂
