The wizarding world of UFOs

Talking about Harry Potter with my 13 yr old today and laughed at some similarities. The wizarding world exists along side our world, but is hidden or obscured. The Prime Minister of the UK is aware of the world and maintains the secrecy. My son mentioned that the wizards could feed the world, but don’t (the elves in Hogwarts make food with magic, huge feasts every night). I asked what he thought would happen if people found out about the wizards. He said panic, curiosity, wanting to know more… I’d say a reevaluation of history. Who knows what they’ve done in the past, and Voldemort showed wizards have done to things that affected “our world” (like breaking that bridge in the movie). Differences that the wizards are still human, and remain hidden for safety? to avoid disrupting the muggle/normal world?

I blew his mind when I said the situation is very similar to UFOs. One more person who gets it now! (It’s a semi-closed topic at home; fear of it and fear of ridiculeI guess. Kids have enough to fear in the 21st century.)
