Timeline of Reverse Engineering Information Releases – Comment Your Knowledge!

Hi everyone! So David Grusch is the biggest and most legitimate whistleblower / leak to come out of the government in, well, ever. His credentials, his backers, and his third-party confirmation by the the likes of the ICIG as “credible and urgent” by and the Senate as one of many whistleblowers all help to substantiate his claims.

But when did info about a reverse engineering program first begin to leak or circulate throughout history? What was the precedent before Grusch? Things like the Twining Memo, Lazar’s claims, and the Wilson-Davis Memo. But what else and when? The legend has grown over the years I would love to pinpoint its origins.

Please comment your best and most accurate info (with substantiation or warning for misinfo, if possible) and I would like to begin building this timeline via edits to the thread of when the truth, mistruth, rumors, or even outright fabrications about the reverse engineering program first and then subsequently were circulated.

I think understanding the history of this story and both the legitimate and folkloric origins and perpetuations of it may help us understand where we are now in the face of Grusch’s revelations and the efforts of the Schumer-Rounds UAPDA to bring these programs out of the shadows.
