Last week I published a nine-page document sent by the Joint Staff (of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) to U.S. military commands worldwide on May 19, 2023, spelling out procedures for gathering and reporting data on UAP. I obtained the document through a FOIA request; it had not previously been made public.
In an article that I published today, linked below, I discuss some of the reactions to the document, explain the law regarding the scope of AARO’s access authorities, and describe the legal protections that apply to those who may wish to be interviewed by AARO about possible UAP-related programs, among other things.
