Okay some context here. An elderly friend of my mom’s was house sitting in the St. Louis suburbs. She went for a walk down a wooded trail in the backyard and was startled to see this thing hovering above the ground.
She doesn’t give a shit about ufo/paranormal stuff but she thought it strange enough to record. Passed her hand over the object to see if it was suspended, but kinematics didn’t change.
She said it appeared to be a pebble (limestone or quartz perhaps by the color?).
Video gives good context for scale and kinematics (leaves on background for reference). She said the object stayed 5-10 inches from the surface until she became afraid and quickly left.
