We are a joke!

I bet that within a year, we’ll still be waiting for any solid confirmation. We’re fooling ourselves, thinking we have something tangible, but the reality is that we’ll likely continue in this mutual bet of deceiving ourselves. We are like children who continue to believe in Santa Claus. We believed for a week in a clearly false video about an extraterrestrial in the interior of Minas Gerais, Brazil, when the entire population of the town knows that it was clearly a fake tale told by very impressionable and superstitious people. (I am from Brazil)

We’re just waiting for the next big story that will distract us for the next week… I feel like a fool, an idiot for still following this subreddit.

EDIT: The level of disillusionment in the comments of this post is unbelievable. I will refrain from any further comments. In a year, I will come back and use the test of time against you all. Nothing will have happened! If something does happen, I commit to making a public apology to you. What I wrote was not in bad faith against the forum; it was a genuine feeling that I truly believe we need to wake up to reality and see how foolish we are.

EDIT 2: It’s incredibly arrogant to think that a member involved in a global conspiracy would waste their time responding to your comment on Reddit. To me, it seems absurdly foolish and hilarious.
