What if the aliens are waiting for us to create an AGI and they don’t want to interfere with us in how we create it?

Yeah so obviously we are all blown away by the leaps and bounds AI companies have been making recently. It’s pretty scary if your paying attention. I wonder if the seemingly increasing amount of yap activity that we are seeing is in some way related? Are we quickly approaching the level we need to reach before we are in a position to understand everything, that an alien entity would even be able to share with us? aided by an AGI. just a fleeting thought I wanted to share.
