What were these things in the sky in NYC on Monday night around 10:25pm?

I’m on the 20th floor and somewhat near the airport in Queens, NY, so I can see a lot of planes departing and arriving in the distance. So I know what they look like. I’ve seen things that look like big twinkling stars the way planes do, but they don’t move. They park in somewhat of a uniform formation every night, spread out but kinda just floating there, they might occasionally change their spot. I heard those were satellites (I tried to make a wish on one when I first saw it, thinking I was fortunate enough to be seeing a big bright star, then I felt foolish as I realized I might be wishing on a satellite). They appear at a certain time of night. They kind of just post up in a formation like Power Ranger zords lol.

On Monday night, I saw something that I’ve never seen before. These 2 things that were kind of loud, that had a green and white and blinking red light on them, but they were kind of big. Bigger than any of the other crafts I’ve seen out the window. They were able to move straight up and down vertically. They kind of made the sound of helicopters but were so big and clunky. I don’t know how they appeared so close. The planes in the distance are pretty tiny. I couldn’t see their body that well because it was too dark. At one point, one of them flew directly over my building, kind of close. It felt somewhat surreal because I’ve never seen anything fly that close before.
