Where do I start?

Hello, ive been keeping up with UFO/UAP situation for about 3-4 years. I’ve learned a lot so far by following along on social media and watching podcasts. However, I would like to develop a more foundational understanding of the timeline, the history, the big events, the key figures, and the government programs.

I love learning about the phenomenon, but the amount of acronyms, names, and references to obscure documents is overwhelming and hard to follow.

Where is a good place to start? I already know a little, but I want to get a firm handle on the history so I can better understand what is happening in the present.

Are there any good books, authors, or other sources that are able to lay out the fundamental information? I’m looking for a solid entry point so I can begin to connect the dots.
