Why do the Reddit ads in this subreddit keep trying to sell me three months of food? Are they trying to tell us something?

Every time I see an ad in this subreddit, it is for the same thing — months of food for some outrageous amount of money. Now I’m fairly certain Reddit associates specific subreddits to specific types of ads so why is this subreddit being associated with “end of times” type ads that try to sell food and other supplies?

Is anyone else seeing these ads or is it just me? It just seems pretty strange that this subreddit gets associated with those type of ads.
