Would you pull the trigger, if you knew you could PROVE alien life/UFOs were real???

If you were hunting in the woods and saw one of those squid looking UFOs fly by and stop 20m away, and you had a large caliber rifle would you try to drop it?

I heard someone on a podcast say that the first person with REAL proof in hand would become more famous than Jesus Christ or Micheal Jackson. Any idea what the law/government/media would say about this?

I am NOT endorsing trying to shoot a UFO!!!! I know me personally I’d sit there stupid and be in awe! Just asking if anyone else has the right answer.
