I feel like I’ve heard about this before, but couldn’t remember where from. Anyone have any additional information?

IIRC, it was about humanity shooting something (a laser?) into space from the South Pole. I remember I brushed it off, but now Im curious to look back at it. I don’t think it was the infamous 4chan whistleblower, but who knows anymore.
