I’m a big fan of the water bear.
My dream is to genetically engineer a dic pic via junk dna into tardigrades and shoot them off into space in billions of different directions to various planets that look like they might be inhabitable one day.
The probes would have to be rather small of course, and cheap, and they’d have to be egg drop engineered so when they crash down in the gravity well they cushion the fall.
The tardigrades would spill out and have baby tardigrades which would retain the dic pic in their genes, ready to be discovered by some advanced civilization in the far off future.
Doable, right? I think we should petition Elon to get on this.
