Hello to everyone and Happy New Year!
First, I would like to thank your staff for willingness to add our community as a sidebar to your sub. this is much appreciated. I am a moderator over at UFOPilotreports. I was asked by your mod staff to give a little background as to how the sub was created and Why it was created.
Second, I am not a Pilot, however I have flown many times and regard the experience as wonderful and enlightening and one of the safest experiences one can have.
Third, I suppose I can begin by saying since the 2021 Preliminary Report came out, I have been dismayed about the lack of concern for Flight Safety related to providing information to Pilots concerning UAP.
It seems that the lack of attention to how Pilots are treated in terms of their UAP sightings is severely stigmatized and underreported. In addition since the report came out there has been zero response from any agency that I am aware of to address the Flight Safety aspects. Pilots constantly report that they are concerned for their careers whenever they have a UAP incident and many choose not to report their UAP incidents for concern that their careers will be in jeopardy. This needs to change imo.
I was also amazed at the lack of support Pilots receive from their Unions and their companies as none seem to accommodate any of their concerns. To me this is bewildering.
Fortunately since Ryan Graves has come forward to create a group to help support the cause of Flight Safety I feel a kinship with him as he has expressed concern for the safety of all travelers and the Pilot community. I am not associated directly with his group but do support his efforts 100%.
Therefore, I felt a need to support Pilots and encourage them to report their UAP encounters in an effort to be a part of that change. I am hoping you will join me and when appropriate please post Pilot related or Media incidents here as well. This will hopefully bring more awareness and less apprehension into reporting these incidents. Lets end the stigma for Pilots.
