The case studies are fascinating. Ross’ inhaling and cringey voices are terrible. He should take a lesson from Dan Carlin and just read the damn quotes.
Way too much credence given to Tom Delonge, who seems to be severely gullible and the perfect mark for a disinformation operation.
I think In Plain Sight could have had better technical vetting. He flubs some units and misconstrues some scientific concepts and in the 2nd half that had me rolling my eyes. One example is how hard Ross leans in on the Robert Jacobs ICBM “orbital disabling of warhead on video” , for which I’ve read a solid technical debunking by the supervising engineer of the imaging system, which makes way more sense to me, considering the tech available at the time.
Still enjoyed the book and looking forward to what else Ross puts out this year!
