HTV-2 and Sheehan Connection?

I recently was reading a post from a user here about experiences his coworker had seen at/near Dugway and read a comment mentioning past research into topics about classified aviation projects I.e SR-72 and Aurora which reminded me of another lesser known aircraft. The HTV-2. Rather publicly known was used as a test bed for hypersonic technology.

Now while all of this is rather standard what shocked me was after looking into it again tonight, to see that is was apart of the Prompt Global Strike, a plan to reach a target within an hour anywhere in the world.

The only other time I remember hearing this is mentioned by Sheehan. Figured it was a weird connection considering what we’re talking about here. This could be fundamental proof of the program existing and I’m sure they would gladly discontinue research into hypersonic if something newer and exotic came to them . Just some thoughts I wanted to get out.
