Will AI make it harder to spot hoax sightings?

I created this completely fake image with Bing in seconds, and it got me thinking: with readily-available AI image creation at our fingertips, will it become harder to spot the fakes in this ‘age of disinformation’..?

Does anyone in the know have any good tips on what to look out for when it comes to AI-generated hoax content?
