This happened years ago but I’ve never shared it, wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience of static shock. 3 of us were camping out on top of a popular mountain bike destination, I believe the road up there is now closed, but correct me if I’m wrong, but also don’t want to give away exact location. It’s an amazing spot to see the night sky. We noticed a bright orb to the north, probably 20 miles away. It became brighter and suddenly was much closer. It did not appear to zoom closer but was just suddenly seemingly within 5 miles, as it appeared to “notice us.” We were standing up watching it and it went dark and seemed to vanish. A short time later we saw another more distant object, making a “J” pattern or what I’d describe as “moving a decimal point.” How you draw little loops under the numbers to move your decimal in elementary school math. It was doing this hook movement then vanished. Later in the night we were sitting by the fire and through the ground we all felt a strong shock, and looked up at each other at the same moment, “what the f was that?!” It was as strong as an electric fence or cattle prod. It traveled from the fingertips throughout the body on all 3 of us. It was like nothing we have ever seen or experienced. Is anyone aware of similar experiences of electric/static shock?
