The purpose of AARO is to collect as much testimony on UAP as possible, which then becomes classified and unable to be shared again. Anything shared with them that is later deemed prosaic is marked “resolved” and made public.

NASA has this same issue. We realize 95%+ of UFO reports will be determined to be prosaic. We have no interest in those objects. Don’t give us a single report on any of those. It’s the remaining 5% we’re curious about. If you can’t figure it out then that’s great. Tell us about everything you learned so far.
